WHAT'S GOING ON?

Allison needs your
help! OccuPaws has trained Allison a very special
guide dog, Gilbert. Gilbert has completed his
formal training and is now ready to begin the life
changing placement training with Allison. We need
to raise $4700 dollars to make this happen. This
amount covers the cost of Allison's three week
in-community placement training with our certified guide
dog instructor and will also allow Allison a lifetime of
technical support for her working life with Gilbert.
If you can help us reach our goal, please send your tax
deductible donation to:
OccuPaws Guide Dog Association
Allison Nastoff Fund

All contributions will be promptly acknowledged and a
confirmation will be sent for your tax records.

Weily
graduates TOP DOG with Janesville Craig's Class of 2008!
Congratulations Weily and Kathy Moe (Weily's raiser) on
your completion of your senior year at Janesville Craig!
Since Weily's graduation ceremony, he has started the
Formal Harness Training phase of our guide dog program
and he is doing fantastic! Weily will be ready for
his new career as "Guide Dog" later this year.
Kathy will be attending UW La Crosse in the fall, but
until then, she is raising another guide dog puppy,
Deegan!
Gilbert's
a guide dog! We are pleased to announce that
Gilbert has completed his Formal Harness Training and
will go through his placement training with his blind
partner in June! Way to go Gilbert!
We
would like to extend a HUGE "Thank you" to all of the
volunteers, participants and sponsors who helped to make
our first, annual JOG FOR GUIDE DOGS a success! We
all had a great time and we are planning the second Jog
event for next spring. Keep an eye out for
details!
OccuPaws'
mission is to raise, train and place the most superb
guide dogs possible. Because of our very high
standards and our strict health and temperament
requirements for guide work, not all of the OccuPaws'
dogs in training will complete the entire program.
We are very saddened to announce that a few of our
OccuPaws' dogs did not pass our requirements to enter
Formal Harness Training. Ben, Bella and Buddy have
been adopted by their loving puppy raising families.
Pat, Fran, Tina, Jeff and Lisa - THANK YOU for all the
hard work and long hours you have dedicated to OccuPaws.
You have all been an asset to the program and you will
always be part of this family!
The
OccuPaws' 3rd Annual Bowling Fundraiser is just around
the corner. Mark your calendars for Saturday,
August 2nd. 4pm - 7pm at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes in
Madison, WI. Check out the events page for more
details!
If
you are interested in becoming a part of a life changing
organization, please contact an OccuPaws representative
for assistance. We need volunteers to help with
our puppy raising programs and fundraising events.
Please
donate to OccuPaws! Our organization is solely
funded by generous people like you! In addition to
financial support, we are in need of beach sized towels,
large airline crates (size 300), gas cards, a digital
camera, land for future training center, mini vans, pet
store gift cards, hotel vouchers, HeartGuard and
FrontLine medications, item donations for silent auction
and raffle events. There are many ways you can
help. For assistance with your donation, please
call us at (608) 444-9555 or send us an email message.
All donations to OccuPaws are tax deductible.
